Our season starts on December 6th! We will have 12 games during the season. There will be no games on December 27.
March 7 we will play our first playoff games.

Differences between Town and Travel Leagues
For boys and girls in grades 2-12. We have 5 divisions. This is a recreational league focused on learning the game and having fun. This can be competitive due to the human nature.
Games are played on Saturdays, tentatively scheduled to begin Dec 6th. There will be no game on December 27th. 3 games in December, 5 games in January and 4 games in February. Games begin at 9 AM and end at 2 PM depending on the amount of teams scheduled. A practice during the week will also be scheduled at either 6 or 7 PM.
We have two gyms to use. Millville Elementary and the FWHMS.

Cost is $50 per player. $75 for two family members. $100 for three or more from the same family.

For boys and girls in grades 4-8 interested in playing more competitive basketball. Each Travel Team is a select team. Players must tryout to earn a position on the Team. There is a commitment, games are on Sunday’s, competition and cost will be greater than the Intramural program. We will participate in the South Central Ma youth basketball league.
Number of Teams
We will determine the number of travel teams per grade based on numbers. Team sizes will vary with a minimum of 10 players on each team.

Please respond to this email. BMYBL will identify and interview potential coaches. BMYBL will select a coach for each team shortly after the conclusion of tryouts.
Selection of Players
Player selection will be based on the skill level and game ability of each player as shown in tryouts, but input from a prior year’s coach and other qualified evaluators will also be taken into consideration.
The travel season begins during the month of October with 1 or 2 weekly practices. Games are tentatively scheduled for November 30, Dec. 7, 14, 21, and 28, Jan 4, 11, 18, 25 and Feb 1, 8, 22 . Teams generally play on Sundays between 10am-5pm, with the season ending in early March. Besides the league schedule, teams may also participate in various tournaments throughout the season. Tournament participation is at the coaches discretion and would require additional costs.
Cost of Participating – 2014-2015 Fee is $120 per player – registration will be taken after tryouts.
The 2014-15 fee is $120 per player, which includes a reversible jersey.
It is important to realize that playing time is never equal on Travel Teams. Coaches will make the final decisions as to the actual amount of playing time each player will receive. Some of the factors coaches will take into consideration include ABILITY, ATTITUDE, ATTENDANCE AT PRACTICES, AND SCORE OF THE GAME.
